Did you ever have that sinking feeling that something was off in your marketing plan? If you are like me, that has happened a lot. Sometimes when I have that feeling, I find someone I trust and review the plan with them for feedback. That was the inspiration for Plannuh Guardrails.
Plannuh Guardrails: a tool that assesses the key parameters of your marketing plan.
Plannuh Guardrails compares your marketing plan to our expert model and shows how you compare to the model. The current version of Plannuh Guardrails measures four key plan attributes:
- The number of goals in your plan
- The percentage of your budget allocated to goals
- The percentage of your budget allocated to your campaigns
- The percentage of your budget allocated to “expense buckets”
What if my plan is outside the recommended range?
There are lots of reasons why your plan might be outside our recommended range, and you don’t have to change your plan to match our model. But it can be useful to understand when your plan looks different from our recommendations.
For example, you may have a lower than expected percentage of your budget allocated to campaigns, but that could be driven by a large project to upgrade your infrastructure, or other significant investments.
The point is to help you stop and think to make sure that you aren’t missing anything in your plan.
How do you access Guardrails?
Guardrails are shown on your Dashboard page in Plannuh. The Guardrails report is generated for each budget in your account, even your default demo account (the one we call “Dino Robot”).
The information in the Guardrails report is fully interactive, so you can make changes to your plan and see the report change in real time.
What is the future of Guardrails?
Guardrails are the first of many intelligent features we are adding to Plannuh. We are also working on Benchmarks that will compare several elements of your plan to your industry peers. And we are working on machine learning recommendations that will offer specific advice for your plan. More information on those features is coming soon!
